Success Story Number Seven
I attended the Simply Networking event in November 2005 at Lancashire County Cricket Club, where I met John Trimble from Expense Reduction Analysts. We swapped business cards and kept in touch.
He kindly introduced me to his colleague, Andy Todd, who is the travel/accommodation specialists for their company. In December 2006, whilst working for TFC Travel Management, Andy invited us to participate in a competitive tender which we were delighted to win.
We were engaged by their clients on a contract for travel/accommodation requirements which proved to be worth in excess of £750 000 in the first 12 months alone.
I now work for The Palace Hotel in Manchester and still attend Simply Networking as the contacts you make can lead you to significant business as I have found.
Thank you Simply Networking!
Regards
Clare Thompson
This success story shows that networking:
1. Isn’t always about the people you meet at the events but who do they know.
2. Isn’t about walking away from an event with new business, but that business can come via your new contacts at any time in the future.
