Success Story Number Ten
As you know I always make a point of thanking you for the benefit I gain from attending your networking events. I have made a point of holding back from writing anymore testimonials because you may end up having too many from one person, however, your last event was simply fantastic!
I have made a valuable IFA contact and we intend to try and do some business together to assist our individual retail clients. In addition, I have made another valuable contact with a funding specialist, who is exactly the person I should be working with at present in the commercial mortgage marketplace. And I also made another useful contact with a wealth protection consultant, where we are aiming to work together for the mutual benefit of our clients. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better outcome.
The rest of the attendees at the event were, as ever, a really interesting cross section of business people. I met up with people I have met previously and these relationships are developing well. I must say that networking really works, but it does take quite a while to understand how it works. Your guidance speech at your events contains some of the best networking advice that anyone is ever likely to receive.
To top it all, the last event venue, Chaopraya, was fantastic and on the spur of the moment (I was meeting my daughter after the event) we stayed on and had a lovely meal, the food was absolutely excellent.
Speaking from my personal experiences, with networking, you could for example meet up with someone you have known for years and the relationship suddenly turn into a valuable source of business. Alternatively, you can bump into someone you do not know but you can still do some business straight away.
I am pleased to say that my investment at your events is certainly proving successful, but you do have to work at it (y’don’t get owt for nowt – as per the old Lancashire saying).
