What Is Business Networking?

Networking is simply ‘word of mouth’ referral, to build new contacts, with the goal of gaining new business. It provides the opportunity to meet people face to face, which is far more enjoyable than the horrors of cold calling.

Networking is NOT selling, it is about building and nurturing business relationships. It provides you with the opportunity to meet new contacts, to build business relationships, get to know, like and trust others, with a view to gaining new business. Remember though, new business might not just come from the people you get to meet, but from who they know.

The concept of networking goes on in every day life, how many times have you recommended a good restaurant or film? Our events just apply this to business and our motto of 'let's do business with a smile' cannot describe our events any better.

Simply Networking

Simply Networking is our main event and each one in Manchester is capped at around 100 to 120 delegates. For Leeds the events usually attract between 50 to 70 delegates at each.

They are networking in its purest form, an opportunity to meet many other businesses/business people in a short space of time, in a relaxed manner and without any distractions.

The beauty of our Simply Networking events is that they are exactly what it says on the tin, SIMPLY networking! They have NO membership fees, NO speakers, NO sitting boardroom style, NO buffet or sit down meals, NO commitments and NO pressure to give referrals or to public speak.

It costs only £10 to attend a Simply Networking event and they are ‘PAY AS YOU GO’. Payment is on the door at the event although pre-registering is essential as our events do sell out. Registering in advance also means that we can pre-prepare a name badge for you.

At a Simply Networking event, apart from a brief hello from the organisers and five minutes from the event sponsor the event is dedicated to networking. Complimentary drinks are served on arrival and the events are held at various venues. The events are literally a room full of business people having a chat over a tea/coffee/soft drink.

Simply Networking Extra

Simply Networking Extra is a smaller event with the number of delegates capped at 60 for each.

They provide the opportunity to not only meet new contacts but also to spend more time with existing ones too. Simply Networking Extra puts the emphasis even more on the building of relationships, getting to know, trust and like others with a view to doing business.

Our 'Extra' events encourage longer conversations, to build business relationships, but these events will also provide the opportunity to meet new contacts too. You can maybe use the events to save time in your busy schedule, by meeting more than one person at a time rather than arranging individual meetings to get to know others better.

Simply Networking Extra are 'PAY AS YOU GO' and have NO membership fees, NO speakers, NO sitting boardroom style, NO buffet or sit down meals, NO commitments and NO pressure to give referrals or to public speak.

Simply Networking Social

Simply Networking Social provides an opportunity to do some business networking in a social environment, after work and free from the pressures of business. They follow the 'Simply Networking' theme and are just as relaxed as our afternoon events, if not more! They cost £10 each to attend.

Simply Networking Social, like our other events, are 'PAY AS YOU GO' and have NO membership fees, NO commitments, NO speakers to endure, NO sitting boardroom style and NO pressure to give referrals or to public speak. You turn up, pay £10, grab a complimentary welcome drink, relax and network! Whilst the venues will change, they will all be licensed and have food available to purchase.

There is little structure to the events, apart from a brief hello from the organisers and a few words from the sponsors (approximately 5 minutes.) The events are dedicated to networking socially, doing business and enjoying yourself at the same time.

They provide an opportunity to meet many other businesses and business people in a short space of time with no commitments or pressure. Whilst having a social feel, the events are still about benefiting your business.

Simply Networking Early

Simply Networking Early brings our highly successful afternoon events to breakfast time.

These events are also 'PAY AS YOU GO' with no membership fees and attract between 15 to 40 delegates at each event. They cost only £15 to attend (payment on the door) which includes both refreshments and your breakfast.

There is NEVER any pressure to give referrals or to public speak and NO speakers or sitting boardroom style, just Simply Networking before your working day.

They are always relaxed, fun, yet business focused and provide an excellent opportunity to meet many businesses in the space of 2 hours. The beauty of our ‘Early’ events is that this can be done without eating into your working day.

The format of the ‘Early’ events are the same as our afternoon events, with little structure, just a brief hello from the organisers and five minutes from the event sponsor. Complimentary drinks are served on arrival and your breakfast half way through the event.

Like our afternoon events Simply Networking Early are literally a room full of business people having a chat over a tea/coffee and breakfast. Pre-registering is essential as our events do sell out and it means we can also pre-prepare a name badge for you.

With our breakfast events, payment will still be required for places cancelled with less than 48 hours notice of an event or non-attendance when a place has been reserved. Please note that this policy applies to our breakfast events only.

Simply Networking New

Simply Networking New has been set up especially to assist those setting up in business for the first time and for first time businesses that are less than 3 months old.

They are FREE to attend with each event having a strict capacity of 40, as this way we can assure those attending get the best out of the event. Pre-registering for these events is essential.

At our ‘New’ events there will also be several experienced business people present, to tap into their experience (as they have been there and done it before) and to learn from their mistakes.

The expertise available covers areas such as how to generate customers, manage money, find finance, utilising business contacts to benefit your business and organising your business.

There will also be the opportunity to make many new business contacts and meet fellow entrepreneurs who are just setting out in business too.

The events have NO hard sell, NO hidden agenda, NO membership fees, NO commitments and NEVER any pressure to give referrals or to public speak. Each person can only attend a maximum of two Simply Networking New events.

Simply Networking Late

Simply Networking Late are basically our Simply Networking events but in the evening. There are some additions, as we lay on food and some live entertainment. We may even throw in a little speed networking or speaker too!

They are networking events in a relaxed environment and with a social twist, although we do not forget they are about business! They provide an opportunity to meet many other businesses and business people in a short space of time with no commitments.

Simply Networking Late are 'PAY AS YOU GO’ and have NO membership fees, NO sitting boardroom style and NO pressure to give referrals. Places usually cost around £20 and payment IS required in advance for Simply Networking Late. There is no refund for places cancelled within 7 days of an evening event.

There is little structure to these events. You can spend the full evening talking to fellow delegates or you can break off to listen to the live entertainment or have a go at speed networking. There is a brief hello from the organisers and five minutes from the event sponsors.
