What Is Business Networking?

Networking is simply ‘word of mouth’ referral, used to build new contacts, with the goal of gaining new business. It provides the opportunity to meet people face to face, which is far more enjoyable than the horrors of cold calling.

Networking is NOT selling, it is about building and nurturing good business relationships. It provides you with the opportunity to meet new contacts, to get to know, like and trust them, with a view to gaining new business. Remember though, new business might not just come from the people you get to meet, but from who they know too.

The concept of networking pre-dates organised events, it has gone on in every day life for centuries, both in a business and personal capacity. How many times have you recommended a good restaurant, film or book? That is networking, our events just apply this to business and our motto of 'let's do business with a smile' cannot describe our events any better.

Simply Networking

Simply Networking is our main event where between 70 to 100 attend the Manchester events. The Leeds ones attract between 50 to 60 at each with Liverpool around 40 to 50. 2010 sees us launching in the North East.

They are networking in its purest form, an opportunity to meet many other businesses/business people in a short space of time, in a relaxed manner and without any distractions or commitments.

The beauty of our Simply Networking events is that they are exactly what it says on the tin, SIMPLY networking! They have NO membership fees, NO speakers, NO sitting boardroom style, NO buffet or sit down meals, NO commitments and NO pressure to give referrals or to public speak.

They cost £10 to attend and are ‘PAY AS YOU GO’. Payment is on the door at the event although pre-registering is essential as they can sell out. Registering in advance also means a name badge is pre-prepare for you and your included on both the delegate list and The Connection Point.

Apart from a brief hello from the organisers/sponsors, the events are dedicated to networking. Complimentary drinks are served on arrival and the events are held at various venues. They are literally a room full of business people having a chat over a tea/coffee/soft drink.

Simply Dining

Simply Dining is a smaller event, with around 40 at each and involves a 2 course meal. You move to a different table between the 2 courses and with informal networking both before and after dining there is plenty of time to network.

Just like our Simply Networking events, the venue will change on each occasion, so as well as lots of networking, you get to try different restaurants and cuisines.

It is essential to book and pay in advance for Simply Dining. Each place costs around £22.50 and there is a £10 charge for cancelled places. A cash bar is available.

Again they are 'PAY AS YOU GO' with NO membership fees, NO speakers, NO commitments and NO pressure to give referrals or to public speak. These events bring you quality food and networking.

Simply Networking Extra

Simply Networking Extra are different from past 'Extra' events and whilst always focusing on networking will have different themes and/or activities. We have lots of ideas but are always open to suggestions.

A little ambiguous we know, but like our other events, we are committed to making them 'PAY AS YOU GO' with NO membership fees, NO commitments and NO pressure to give referrals or to public speak. Costs and locations will vary.
